SUMMARY:12th Annual Oakland Winter Fest
DESCRIPTION:We are having a Winter Fest Wine Walk this year\, sponsored by Electronic Diagnostic Center. It will be February 16 from 12pm-4pm! Visitors to the events will be able to purchase a ticket for $10 at the gazebo downtown and sample approximately 12 different wines around the downtown area. We also have snow forts for snow ball battles sponsored by Taylor Made Deep Creek Vacations and Sales and Lowe's Home Improvement. The huge chair will be back this year\, which was always popular in the past\, and it is being sponsored by Garrett Regional Medical Center. We have over twenty other carvings\, some of them are interactive and Bill will be carving some live on Saturday\, February 16th throughout the day. Patriot Chrysler\, Dodge and Jeep and RAM will have a new and exciting sculpture this year\, which will be fun. \n\n \n\nIt is the 12th year for the event. We will have free sleigh rides form 12pm-4pm\, great shopping and dining specials. \n\n \n\nBill Sandusky will be the ice carver once again from Erie Ice Works out of Erie\, PA. This is a fantastic family fun\, free event. There is plenty to do for adults and children. We have several new shops and restaurants as well as several museums and events specific to Winter Fest.
