SUMMARY:First Day Hike
DESCRIPTION:Start off the new year by joining  a DCL Ranger for a shoreline walk! Bundle up for about an hour* walk along Deep Creek Lake's shoreline. Walkers will learn about lake surface ice\, what happens in the water under the ice during winter and other tidbits about lakes in winter. Be sure to bring snowshoes or ice cleats\, drinking water and dress appropriately for the winter-y conditions. Hike is weather permitting.\n\n\n\nMeet at the Discovery Center at Deep Creek Lake State Park at 2 pm.\n\n\n\n*Length & distance of the walk dependent on the weather conditions that day.
